Charlene Wittstock To Marry Prince Albert of Monaco
It looks like a Royal wedding is on the cards this year. Prince Albert of Monaco is to marry his girlfriend Charlene Wittstock a former Olympic backstroke swimmer from South Africa. This will be 50 year old Prince Albert's first marriage though he has two children from seperate lovers outside of marriage. Monaco, however, needs a legal heir to the throne and it looks as if 30 year old Charlene Wittstock has the credentials. A goverment source is quoted as saying, "Charlene has beauty and style, and we are all praying that she will ensure the royal succession in our principality. Albert has never settled down in the past, but knows that the time is now right to produce the next ruler of Monaco." Albert's late mother was the Oscar winning actress Grace Kelly. As for Charlene Lynette Wittstock she was born in Benoni, South Africa on the 25th of January, 1978. She was a member of the South African Woman's 4 x 100m Medley swimming team in the 2000 Olympics. The team finished in 5th place. September is favourite for the Wedding. Labels: Charlene Wittstock, Grace Kelly, Prince Albert |
