       Konnie Huq is 33 and was born in Hammersmith, London on the 17th of July 1975. She was best known as a presenter of the children's television show Blue Peter, which she did for ten years. Konnie describes herself as being of 'Bangladeshi descent' and a 'relaxed Muslim'. Since leaving Blue Peter she has attracted attention from the time she wore an extra low cut dress to the Spiderman 3 premiere. She has turned down the likes of Playboy but has said that you never say never to such offers. Because of her upbringing it's unlikely, however, that she'll ever be seen in any explicit poses. Bikini Girl Zoe Salmon Leaves Blue Peter
 Zoe Salmon is now leaving Blue Peter today after a stint lasting three and a half years.Zoe is quitting, along with Gethin Jones, and this follows on from Konnie Huq also leaving the BBC show earlier this year. Zoe said, "I've loved my time on Blue Peter and I've had experiences that I never dreamed I could have." She has been taking advice from Konnie Huq and has bought a two bedroom flat in a Grade II listed Art Deco block in Ealing. The £290,000 property has a balcony and the development has a clubhouse, swimming pool and tennis courts.  Zoe said that Konnie is, "Really into property and she knows London better than I do."One of the YouTube favourite videos of Zoe Salmon is of her in a bikini in a freezing cold swimming pool.  As well as being a popular television presenter Konnie Huq is a smart cookie - she's got a Cambridge University economics degree for example.On the blog In Praise Of Konnie Huq it explains how Konnie is helping students with their exams. There is also a video of Konnie. She has teamed up with Sky Learning and has created a series of videos that cover such things as exam revision tips and so on.   It seems that Konnie Huq has finally 'sold out' and has agreed to pose for some sexy photos for GQ magazine according to the Daily Star.For those who may not know Konnie is an ex-children's show (Blue Peter) presenter who got many older male viewers also glued to their television sets watching kids TV. A while back Konnie is reported to have said:  "I’ve had offers from lads’ mags. I wouldn’t mind, as long as it was classy and sexy. The problem is, when you have big boobs like mine, a topless photo shoot looks tacky, whereas with someone like Kate Moss, who has a flatter chest, it looks arty. I’m not going to rule anything out. I’d love to be a sex symbol. If you’ve got it, you have to use it."So it looks as if the money is finally right but a friend is quoted as telling the Daily Star, "Konnie wouldn't do anything that isn't tasteful but she realises that it's a grown-up magazine with grown-up readers." Racist Remarks Aimed At Konnie Huq
 I'm treading on delicate ground here and the last thing I want to do is to make any political points. A celebrity blog isn't the place for doing this. However I feel I must say something about all of the abuse and racist remarks that have been left on our blog In Praise Of Konnie Huq.On one post Konnie Huq At Launch Of Miss England Bikini there are 80+ comments and the majority are awful in their content - racist and threatening. I have purposefully left the comments to stand as I don't want to censor them. I feel that they say more about the writers themselves than anything others can write. The vitriol came about because Konnie Huq carried the Olympic Torch in London and also voiced her opinion on the China and Tibet situation. She was attacked while carrying the torch. I'm not going to enter into the China / Tibet / Olympic debate. As I've already said this isn't the place to do so, though I have my opinions. All I will say is that it's absolutely fine to have an opinion or view point, no matter what it is, but why not put this over in a constructive way without racism or threats.   Since finally leaving the BBC children's Blue Peter show after 10 years Konnie Huq is getting out and about in the grown up world.This was Konnie Huq yesterday evening at The Chain of Hope Annual Ball held at the Dorchester in London. Fans were a little disappointed that her dress didn't quite live up to the special low cut, white dress that caused such a sensation at the Spiderman 3 Premiere - that's it on the right.
