Heston Charlton Dies At 84
Charlton Heston Oct 4 1923 - April 5 2008 The Oscar winning actor Charlton Heston died at his home in Beverley Hills last night. He was 84.Charlton, who won his best actor Oscar award for Ben Hur in 1959, had announced in 2002 that he was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. A statement was issued by his family saying: "To his loving friends, colleagues and fans, we appreciate your heartfelt prayers and support. Charlton Heston was seen by the world as larger than life.John Charlton Carter was born October 4 1923, he later changed this to Heston, which was his stepfather's name.
