Ashlen Batson Wins Miss Arkansas
 The new Miss. Arkansas has been announced and she is Ashlen Batson. She was crowned on Saturday night in Hot Springs.Ashlen Batson is 21 years old and a senior at the University of Central Arkansas and comes from Newark. Previously she was recognised as the Preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit winner. Ashlen will go on to now compete in the Miss America Pageant which is to be held in January 2009 in Las Vegas. Runners Up: in the Miss Arkansas Pageant were: Lauren English Miss OBU; Chanley Painter Miss White River; Sarah Slocum Miss UCA and Ashley Green Miss Northeast Arkansas.
