Celebrity News Snippits
Alexandra BurkeThe UK X Factor winner, Alexandra Burke stayed at the top of the UK singles charts for a second week with her version of Hallelujah. Her single is the fastest selling ever by a UK female artist. Tom Brady The father of Tom Brady has denied that his son has got engaged to Gisele Bundchen. He said, "We talked to him and there's nothing to say. It's rumor, rumor, rumor. It must be a slow news day." Ulrika Jonsson Looks like her flagging career needs a boost so Ulrika Jonsson is heading for the UK Big Brother house for the Celebrity version. Incredibly reports say that she will be paid £175,000 for her four week stint. And to think there is supposed to be a recession. Taylor SwiftCountry pop singer Taylor Swift has admitted that she has a fantasy dream date. She told Your Prom magazine that her dream date would be with Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford. Linda Lusardi The former Page 3 topless glamour girl phoned the UK emergency number 999 when she got stuck in traffic! She thought the jam she was in would make her late for a pantomime performance. Thick or what? Needless to say police were none too pleased. A spokesperson said, "Being late for work is not a reason to call 999, contact the police or use emergency measures." Tom Chambers This really follows on from the previous snippit. Unbelievably a woman dialled 999 when she couldn't get through to vote for Tom Chambers on Strictly Come Dancing. Police and the emergency services should surely fine these sort of dimwits. Ads Get 3000 television stations on your PC or laptop.. No monthly fee or subscription. Tom Chambers Wins Strictly Come Dancing
Tom Chambers and his professional partner Camilla Dallerup won UK's Strictly Come Dancing last night with a spectacular, quirky final show dance. This is the equivalent of the USA's Dancing With The Stars. The question being asked though is as to whether this is a dancing or a popularity contest. It's turned into something that mustn't be taken too seriously - as we have seen from the John Sergeant experience and the dodgy voting of last week. The BBC even altered the rules for last night's voting as well. We have to accept that Strictly Come Dancing is simply entertainment that gets us all hooked, the dancing is almost secondary. It's fun and should be seen in that way. Let's all lighten up and take it for what it is. After winning Tom Chambers said, "Oh my goodness. The first person I want to thank is my wife. I can't believe my luck. I can't believe how jammy I am to have married you in the first place." Tom then turned to his pro partner and told her, "Tonight is about you. You absolutely deserve this." Runner up Rachel Stevens was the best dancer but she didn't have Tom's - to pinch another show's title - X Factor. He was the person the audience took to and voted for. Well done Tom!
