Ringo Star Is Beheaded!
 Ringo Star has been beheaded, well a statue of him has.A foliage statue of the Beatles in Liverpool has had the head of Ringo removed by vandals. It is thought that this was carried out because of comments made by Ringo following his appearance at the opening of Liverpool's European City of Culture celebrations. A few days later he was on the UK Jonathan Ross television show when he said that he missed 'nothing' about Liverpool and admitted that he hardly ever returns. Many Liverpudlians took this an insult, by someone they thought of as their own, and flooded local radio with angry complaints. The topiary of the Beatles is at Liverpool's South Parkwat station and was put there as part of Liverpool's year of being the European City of Culture.  Labels: Beatles, Ringo Star |
