Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Christine Beatty Charged By Kym Worthy
 Further to our post of January 24th Christine Beatty and Kwame Kilpatrick it looks as this 'affair' has now all been taken a step further.The Wayne Court prosecuter, Kym Worthy (photo left) has announced that the couple are to be charged in connection with 12 felonies including perjury, obstruction of justice and misconduct in office in a text messaging scandal.  Should they be found guilty the penalties could be anything from five to fifteen years in prison.Detriot Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has said that he expects to be vindicated. | Contrary to their denials made in court it's now reported that Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick did have a liaison with his aid Christine Beatty. Christine Beatty photo on right. In case you haven't noticed, I am madly in love with you, too! April 8, 2003 From Beatty And, did you miss me, sexually? Reply From Kilpatrick Hell yeah! You couldn't tell. I want some more. Don't sleep! Mayor Kilpatrick has issued a statement which can be seen here. Part of the statement read: "I would now ask that the public and the media respect the privacy of my wife and children and of Christine Beatty and her children at this deeply painful moment for our families."
