Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunctionJanet Jackson
The infamous Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction of four years ago is back in the news. What a fuss! The incident is to be reviewed again to see if CBS TV bosses can be held responsible for Janet's nipple being seen during the half time of the 2004 SuperBowl. To think of all that's going on in the world today and time is spent worrying about a flashed nipple - crazy.

For those so inclined a photo of the wardrobe malfunction can be seen on CelebTease.com.

Tobey Maguire
the Spiderman star Tobey Maguire has announced that his wife, jewellery designer Jennifer Meyer, is pregnant with their second child.

Ashley Simpson cleavageAshlee Simpson
Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are unbelievable parents. Well that's what proud grandparents Joe and Tina Simpson reckon.

They said about the couple, "They are unbelievable parents already, and we can't wait to spend Bronx's first holidays together with the whole family. We are truly blessed." Ashley gave birth on Thursday to Bronx Mowgli.

Paris Hilton
It looks like it's over. Paris Hilton has confirmed that she has split from Benji Madden. Paris said, "We're really good friends. We're very close. I love him, he's such an amazing man. He's my best friend, he's been so great to me, so loyal. He's an incredible person. I think right now we're both better off as friends. We're both working so much; I've been travelling, he's been working non-stop in the studio."

Nicole Kidman
Back to baby talk again. Nicole Kidman had denied rumours that she is pregnant again. She said, "No, I just have a little tummy. My god, I just had a baby four months ago - give me a break!"

John Sergeant
The Strictly Come Dancing Sergeantgate drama is nearly over. John Sergeant and Kristina Rihanoff will dance their final dance tonight on BBC 1 at 6.20pm. It's expected to boost viewing figures - but will there be a voting backlash from viewers?

John SergeantJohn Sergeant
As the Strictly Come Dancing controversy continues I see that in an online vote on the Sun website 77% of voters (when I looked today) say that John Sergeant should not have resigned. See also our post here.

I'm A Celebrity
While the television show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here wasn't on ITV1, because of international football, two new contestants were moved into the jungle. They are David Van Day from the due Dollar and the irritating Timmy Mallett - remember Mallett's Mallet? Both desperately need a career boost.

Mallett has been sent in to wind up his other jungle mates. He said, "I’m aware I can be rather abrupt. I don’t suffer fools terribly easily. The discomfort of seeing this could be quite great." He's one annoying bloke. Photos etc on I'm A Celebrity unofficial blog.

Top of the Pops
The Christmas edition of the previously defunct Top of the Pops show is to go ahead. The BBC will broadcast two editions: one on Christmas Day and the other on New Year's Day. Simon Cowell has said that he would like to buy Top of the Pops and resurrect it on ITV.

Emma CrosbyGMTV
The replacement for Fiona Phillips on GMTV has now been announced. It will be the Sky News presenter Emma Crosby. She said, "I am very excited to be joining Britain's leading breakfast programme and working alongside Kate Garraway, who is a great talent."

Jonathan Ross
The Telegraph reports, "Jonathan Ross should never return to Radio 2, according to BBC staff and presenters who are angry about the damage that the 'Sachsgate' scandal has done to the station." Use Telegraph link to read the full story.

Wednesday
John Sergeant Bullied Out Of Strictly Come Dancing
John Sergeant and Kristina Rihanoff
John Sergeant and Kristina RihanoffIt looks as if the Strictly Come Dancing pouty judges have got what they wanted. John Sergeant has resigned from the show saying that he didn't want 'a bloody battle.'

John Said in a statement:
"I am sorry to say I have decided to leave Strictly Come Dancing. It was always my intention to have fun on the show and I was hoping to stay in as long as possible.

The trouble is that there is now a real danger that I might win the competition. Even for me that would be a joke too far.

I would like to thank Kristina (his dance partner) and all those viewers who have been rooting for me through the series."
The acid tongued Arlene Phillips hypocritically said, "I'm always sad if a contestant leaves out of choice because you always expect them to let the public vote them in or out. But obviously John is his own person and has his own reasons for doing this."

No matter what she says now, she wanted him out and she isn't at all sad about his decision to leave the show. She was spouting in the media, over the last couple of days (see here), her real thoughts on the matter. She had even called him a 'dancing pig in Cuban heels', which was a disgraceful comment to make.

As for presenter Bruce Forsyth he said, "It was a bit of a shock. He ruined my opening joke this week - I was going to say 'Ladies, gentlemen and children, welcome to The John Sergeant Show.' Now I've got to get a different joke."

Again Bruce made unkind 'jokes' on the show about John.

Rumours also abound that the show's producers were considering a new 'three strikes and you're out' rule.

Under this, if a contestant were to finish bottom of the judges' leader board for three weeks in a row they would be automatically ejected without participating in a dance-off.

This again shows their complete disrespect of the public vote. They might just as well let the judges do the deciding and we'll all go and watch something more interesting.

Anyway, a decision has been made and John Sergeant and the lovely Kristina Rihanoff will do a farewell dance on Saturday.

Boo to the judges and the producers of Strictly Come Dancing.

Tuesday
Vote For John Sergeant On Strictly Come Dancing
Arlene PhillipsUK's Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has been doing the media rounds trying her best to persuade viewers of the show not to vote for John Sergeant and generally slagging him off.

The acid tongued Arlene said about John, "I would be desolate if he won. The criteria that the four judges were hired on, six series ago, was to find the best possible dancer to become Strictly Come Dancing champion. I personally would like to see him off the show because despite getting through a dance, probably for the first time mostly in time to the music, he is not the same standard everyone else has reached."

I find it quite funny!

The judges think they can slag off anyone, insult some contestants and still get their own way.

They seem to forget that:

(1) The producers asked John Sergeant to be a contestant. But, of course, things aren't going to their liking. They wanted someone to make fun of and for him to make a fool of himself. And to go in the first or second round. He was supposed to be the novelty patsy.

(2) You can't insult the public (who indirectly pay the judges wages through the television licence) and expect no retaliation.

(3) You have to abide by the rules.

We all know John can't dance but he's better value than some of the intense contestants who see this as a desperate opportunity to resurrect their sagging careers.

The show is supposed to be fun and entertaining - and it is, thanks to John.

Vote for John I say.

John Sergeant Hits Back At Strictly Come Dancing Judges
John Sergeant Strictly Come Dancing contestantJohn Sergeant has hit back at the Strictly Come Dancing judges who have made strong comments about him remaining in the contest. Len Goodman, for example, commented that for John to remain 'makes a nonsense of the show.'

John said, "I wish they would stop saying it is a travesty and unfair for me to still be in the show. If not, then they should resign. If they are so upset they should never have agreed the contract. Everyone knows that the public vote for half of it, so there's nothing I can do about it. But I'm still enjoying it very much."

An internet campaign has now been set up to try and keep the likeable Sergeant in the competition.

The judges have brought it all on themselves by their rude comments on what is supposed to be a fun, entertainment television programme. And the public have spoken!
