Boy George Jailed For 15 Months
Breaking News! UK Time 3.25pm. The singer Boy George has been jailed for 15 months after his conviction of falsely imprisoning a male escort in his flat in east London. He has also to pay £5,000 costs.Judge Radford said, "Whilst I accept that Mr Carlsen's (the male escort) physical injuries were not serious or permanent, in my view there can be no doubt that your premeditated callous and humiliating handcuffing and detention of Mr Carlsen shocked, degraded and traumatised him. He was deprived of his liberty and human dignity without warning or proper explanation to him of its purpose, length or purported justification." Police Charge Boy George With False Imprisonment
 Boy George was charged yesterday by police with false imprisonment. It is alleged that he chained a man to the wall of his house in London. He was released on bail and will appear in court on November 22nd.The man he allegedly chained was a male escort, Auden Karlsen, aged 28. According to what Karlsen told the Sun newspaper he met Boy George on the website Gaydar and went to his home as a 'photographic model'. The story is that George and another man then 'pounced after taking a few snaps'. It is said that whips and sex toys were produced and he was told, "Now you'll get what you deserve". Somehow Karlsen escaped but said, "I was convinced I was going to die". Boy George was charged under his real name of George O'Dowd.
