Susan Boyle Is Happy In The Priory
 After increasingly unpredictable behaviour Susan Boyle has been admitted to the Priory because of exhaustion and stress. She was taken by ambulance to the north London clinic.A police spokesperson said, "Police were called at approximately 6pm (yesterday) to a central London hotel to doctors assessing a woman under the Mental Health Act. Police and ambulance attended. The woman was taken voluntarily by ambulance to a clinic. At the request of doctors, police accompanied the ambulance." Susan's brother has said, however, that she is "happy", and "just needs to get her head round being an overnight star." It's obviously all been too much for her and no doubt there have been pressures and influences from the money people. Already plans are under way for a U.S. tour and for her to do an album with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra - plus there is the Britain's Got Talent Tour which kicks off on June 12th. It's certainly way different from doing a karaoke on a Sunday night at the local pub. Gerry, Susan's brother, added, "It would be nice to get her back home for a couple of days. A couple of days off in Blackburn wouldn't go amiss. But she will bounce back – we know our Susan." "This is the start of Susan's international career, now that the talent show is finished. She is not interested in money, she's not a material person, but what she is interested in is working with her idols and I'm sure Mr Cowell will have a few people lined up." Let's hope she has the mental health to go ahead with all of the big plans. Unfortunately Susan doesn't quite seem to have the appeal that she first did following her BGT auditions. Diversity Burst Susan Boyle's Bubble
 Susan Boyle looked stunned when Ant and Dec announced that dance group Diversity had won Britain's Got Talent last night. It didn't all quite go to plan but they have won the £100,000 prize, plus they will perform in front of the Queen on the Royal Variety Show this year. Susan said, "The best people won. That's showbiz," and the 10 dancers who make up Diversity were also stunned as they felt it was really the Susan Boyle show. One of the dancers said, "I was getting so excited thinking we were second. We feel electric. Words can't describe it. I am genuinely shocked. We thought Susan was unstoppable. She's an unbelievable talent. Can I just say, everyone who voted, you've changed our lives." After the show Susan commented, "I hope to get an album out and I'll just play it by ear. What a journey. It was unbelievable and very humbling. Thank you for everything." Despite everything it was an enjoyable final where all of the contestants performed well. It will now be interesting to see how many of the contestants we will still be talking about this time next year. Where's The Talent In Britain's Got Talent?
 How did some of the semi finalists actually get into last night's Britain's Got Talent semi final? Flower arranging? Blokes with wheelbarrows, a couple of second rate ballroom dancers? And a bloke pretending he was playing a saxaphone that didn't even sound like a saxaphone?Nope, this isn't Britain's best talent. It's manipulation to get certain contestants through to the final for monetary reasons. Last night a fat bloke and his son dancing were the winners, some say surprise winners. But at least they were fun and were enjoying themselves. Stavros Flatley, as they are called, won't probably have a long career, they are just a novelty act. Favourite to win, 12 year old Shaheen Jafargholi , also got through to the final but he is being hyped to the rafters by the judges. He's got potential but last night he performed the wrong song. Maybe he'll do better in the final when the other no hopers have gone. So the latest two finalists are: Stavros Flatley and Shaheen Jafargholi. It's just a pity that money is leading Britain's Got Talent by the nose, steered by Simon Cowell and his mates of course. But that's what these type of shows are unfortunately all about. Simon Cowell And The Kelly Brook Boob
 Well that didn't last long did it? Kelly Brook as a Britain's Got Talent judge that is. What was it six days?So did Simon Cowell make a boob and get the wrong girl? Or was it the other judges, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden having their feather's ruffled. The Star reckons, "Amanda wasn't happy at having her role as the Queen Bee threatened." Simon did it all in good faith but Piers, Amanda, Ant and Dec took supposed umbrage about not being kept in the loop and having Kelly sprung on them. The thing is though that Kelly isn't really that good at chat, look at her breakfast television attempts. She was most likely out of her league when up against great pals Piers and Amanda, despite what is being said. But one thing it has all done, of course, is generate publicity for Britain's Got Talent - so job done by Simon Cowell! I'd Do Anything: Jodie Prenger Wins
 It was the night of finals in the UK last night. First Britain's Got Talent - see two previous posts - and then for the part of Nancy in I'd Do Anything. And really both ended up with unpredictable results.Jodie Prenger won I'd Do Anything even though Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh thought the winner should have been Jessie Buckley. It just shows, as with Britain's Got Talent, that phone voting doesn't always follow logic.  With I'd Do Anything the lovely Samantha Barks was the first to be voted out of the three finalists followed by a tearful Jessie.It's only a personal opinion but I don't see Jodie as the perfect Nancy. She doesn't look right for the part for one thing - and yes, this is important - and her shocked expression at the end didn't altogether ring true. But such is life. Good luck to Jodie Prenger, 28, in the West End production of Oliver in December. No doubt the voters will rush for tickets. George Sampson: Britain's Got Talent Winner
 Well we didn't get that quite right! George Sampson, the 14 year old dancer, has just won Britain's Got Talent with his stunning version of an updated Singing In The Rain. George is 14 (15 on the 29th of June) and lives in Birchwood. He has built a good fan base on the Internet on forums, such as at ITV.com and on websites such as bebo. His fans were mobilised and did their job to make George a winner (and to pocket the £100,000 and Royal Variety performance). Well done to him and those that supported him, especially his mother. The likes of Faryl Smith will be disappointed but have a good future ahead of them. Simon Cowell will be visualising the cash tills already. Faryl Smith, Escala, Kate & Gin: Who Will Win Tonight?
 Tonight is the Britain's Got Talent final with 12 year old Faryl Smith easily the favourite to win, that's her photo on the left. She has a remarkable voice and no matter if she wins or loses is destined to become a big star.It's interesting to see that Simon Cowell is so impressed with her that he has arranged private singing lessons for her with Yvie Burnett who helped Paul Potts. So who else is in the running? Their are eight in the final and these are the best odds available on the web at the time of writing. Faryl Smith - evens Escala - 7/4 George Sampson - 6/1 Signature - 9/1 Andrew Muir - 12/1 Andrew Johnston - 18/1 Strike - 25/1 Kate and Gin - 40/1 Nemesis - 45/1 Cheeky Monkeys - 50/1  I guess if I was a betting man my own top three would be Faryl Smith, Escala and Kate & Gin but phone votes can do the unexpected. You never know what's going on behind the scenes to influence the public.Escala were originally known as Scala but had to change because of copyright reasons. There has also been a little controversy as to how they got on the show. It is alleged that they were 'invited' to the auditions by Simon Cowell and were already known to ITV1 staff. They have been working professionally for quite a while and have performed alongside McFly and were chosen to perform at the X Factor wrap party. ITV, however, said, "Scala went through the same application and audition process as everyone else." But things are not always exactly as they are seen in life. Simon Cowell The Man With The Midas Touch
 Today's post is a feature on Simon Cowell.Simon Cowell was born on October 7th, 1959 in Brighton, England but was brought up in Elstree. His father was a music industry executive as well as being involved with property development. So Simon had a good start in life. He went to college in Dover but left early and moved from job to job. His start in the music business was when his father got him work in the mail room of the EMI - a large music company near London. In 1984 he met Pete Waterman previously of Stock Aitken Waterman who produced and wrote many hit records including number ones for Kylie Minogue. Simon Cowell is quoted as saying, "I learned more from Waterman in a short time than I could have in an entire career with any major label." Things went well at first but he was forced into bankruptcy in 1989 and was so skint he had to move in with his parents. The same year he started to work as an A&R consultant. This led to a reasonable degree of success with many hit records but the real Big Time was still to come. Big Time shows made Cowell famous worldwide. This started with Pop Idol in the UK and American Idol in the USA. His acerbic comments made headline news, created controversy and turned him into a star in his own right.  The X Factor televison show followed and then came America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent.It's hard to estimate Simon Cowell's wealth, though it must be somewhere in the region of £125/$250 million. His present income could be anything up to £23/$46 million per year.  His long term girlfriend is Terri Seymour though he is said to have been unfaithful to her - according to the News of the World newspaper. In fairness though Simon has always made it clear that he does want to settle down or have children.At the moment the man has the midas touch and will no doubt continue his amazing success. Paul Potts Wins Britain's Got Talent
 For a change here is a new celebrity, heading for the big time, and one with real talent. The man is Paul Potts who last night won the UK television show Britain's Got Talent.Now Paul Potts is no glamour figure, he's an ordinary bloke who can sing. Some say he's good enough to rival Pavarotti. Last night he sang Nessun Dorma and in doing so won £100.000 ($200,000) and a place in the line up for the Royal Variety Performance. Paul Potts is on his way to a record deal, no doubt with Simon Cowell, and will go on to make millions. Paul is, or rather was, a 26 year old mobile phone salesman. He has been on the fringes of the operatic world but never quite made it. He racked up huge credit card debts when attending a master class with the great man himself, Luciano Pavarotti. His money worries are now over.  Simon Cowell said, "Paul is a normal guy, a great talent and came in as an underdog.
