Gemma Garrett Wants To Be A Conservative Politician
 Remember Gemma Garrett? She's the would be politician and beauty queen who polled 500 votes in the absurd David Davis election and said at the time that she wanted to 'make politics sexy not sleazy.'Well gasp, horror! Gemma now wants to defect to the Conservative party. With an obvious attention for publicity she said, "My proposition is simple. If a former runner up in the Miss Alaska 1984 pageant can do wonders for John McCain's Republicans just think what the current Miss Great Britain could do for David Cameron's Conservatives." And with such a simplistic outlook on life Ms. Garrett has therefore written to David Cameron asking to be a parliamentary candidate. She claims that, "Beautiful women have a unique capacity for getting things done," So watch out, here in the UK we may soon have a new political dynamo sorting the country out. Let's face it anyone would be better than the fiasco that is Prime Minister Brown - yes, maybe even Gemma Garrett. I'm sure her cleavage would give a lift to all male voters. Cleavage Swings It For Gemma Garrett
 Well now, there's a thing. Gemma Garrett, would be politician, didn't come last in her attempt to become a Member of Parliament. She didn't win either, of course.In her last go at becoming an MP she was bottom of the field but yesterday, in the farcial Haltemprice and Howden by-election, she was fifth out of 27 runners. A success you might think for our Miss Great Britain. After all she did beat influential candidates such as Mad Cow-Girl, David Bishop of the Elvis Party and the very odd David Icke who seems to believe that some sort of reptiles rule the world. This was a by-election that shouldn't have happened and as for the 'winner' David Davis .... best not said. But at least we got to see Gemma Garrett's cleavage and 521 people were suitably impressed. Gemma Garrett Flops Despite Her Cleavage Show
 The delusional and publicity seeking Gemma Garrett, Miss Great Britain, slumped to an embarrassingly low number of votes at the Crewe by-election. She came rock bottom out of 10 candidates with only o.27 of the votes.And to think that on Thursday she said, "I have been taking lots of votes away from Labour and if they don't get in a lot of fingers are going to point at me." Ha ha ha!  Mind you the Daily Star is also pretty stupid as well. They wrote about how, 'Gemma has sent voters into a frenzy with her Beauties For Britain Party. She is winning huge support on her final day of campaigning to become Britain's hottest MP (Member of Parliament).Of course neither Gemma Garrett or the Daily Star are really stupid as they generated publicity for each other - and that seems to often be the whole reason for the 'celebrity game'. Gemma Garrett And Her Beauties For Britain Manifesto
 At the very least it brings a smile to British politics. Miss Great Britain Gemma Garrett, that is, who, as we told you, is bidding to become a Member of Parliament at the Crewe by-election. Her political alliance is called the Beauties For Britain party.It's all a publicity stunt as Gemma doesn't have a cat's chance in hell of winning the ballot - but she doesn't like people saying that. Her response is, "I want people to know I am campaigning on proper politics and real issues. It drives me mad how much people stereotype. Just because you're a beauty queen people resume you are thick - but I am determined to put them straight." And to prove her point, what does she do? Poses in lingerie and and low cut tops in the Daily Star! Okay, to be fair, here are her campaign manifesto points: (1) Boost the paltry wages of British soldiers risking their lives every day for their country. (2) Improve conditions for working and single mothers, who struggle to pay for childcare and hold down a job. (3) Wipe out politics' sleazy image. Sexy not sleazy.   It was just the Labour party who were dreading the by-election in Crewe but now there is also something to get David Cameron trembling as well - the Beauties For Britain party.And their candidate for the by-election is none other than Gemma Garrett who also happens to be Miss Great Britain. Her policies, erm, well she'll 'make Britain feel beautiful again.' Gemma did admit though: "I may not know a lot about politics yet but I do know about people and how everyone would prefer that Britain looks and feels beautiful instead of dwelling on the ugly and negative side of life and politics.So there we go. Let's just hope that the Conservatives don't have the likes of Ann Widdecombe parading in a bikini to compete with Gemma! What else do we know about Gemma Garrett? Let's see - she's from Belfast and is 5'7" tall with a 34-24-34 figure and has shoulder length dark blonde hair. Gemma has been in a McCain’s Oven Chip advertisement, she's a professionally trained Latin Dancer and is a member of Hip-Pop band Urban. Oh, and she's also been a body double for Sienna Miller. Hobbies and interests: Swimming, Squash, Cooking and Architecture. Gemma told the Miss Great Britain bods that her ambition was to have 'a successful career and to be happy.'
