Kwame Kilpatrick The Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has offered an apology to his constituents but has said that he will not resign from his position. This is to do with 'romantic texts' sent by Kilpatrick to Christine Beatty - see story and Christine's photo here. Brad Pitt A 25 year old freelance reporter was arrested outside of Brad Pitt's home. It's thought that he was looking for some form of 'proof' that Angelina Jolie is pregnant - which would be worth quite a few dollars. Britney Spears Taken To Hospital
Britney Spears was taken to hospital in the early hours of this morning and placed under a 'mental health evaluation hold.' Story continues after photo. At about 1am this morning an ambulance entered the gates of Britney Spears residence with a helicopter flying overhead. On leaving the home the troubled star was rushed to the UCLA Medical Center escorted by more than ten motorcycle police officers with two helicopters flying overhead.   The launch party for the new Blackberry Pearl 8130 Smartphone, which was held at the IAC Building, New York City yesterday, certainly brought out the cleavage on display.Supporting the event with their decolletage were the likes of Natasha Bedingfield, photo above, and Rumer Willis, photo below. Needless to say Paris Hilton was there as well, but she gets enough publicity.  As for the phone itself.  The Mirror reports that Cheryl Cole is to move out of the marital home following the stories about her 'cheating husband' Ashley Cole. She is to head for a 'secret location to consider her future.'Friends of Cheryl say that she needs to be alone to 'work out if she wants to save her 18 month marriage.' This is sad as she recently told OK! magazine that she wanted to 'start working on that baby' as she wanted to be a 'young mum.' Cheryl & Ashley Cole and Girls Galore
 Cheryl Cole has turned to her other Girls Aloud bandmates for comfort after fresh claims were made that her husband, Ashley Cole, had been involved with a further two girls. First there was Aimee Walton who said she had a drunken romp with the vastly overpaid footballer that is Ashley Cole. Now two more girls have crawled out of the woodwork.Model Brooke Healy reckons she slept - for want of a better word - with Ashley and was then paid £6000 ($12000) to keep quiet. And now Coralie Robinson, 26, is reported to have been paid £10,000 ($20,000) to remain silent after a liaison. Not sure why Coralie got more cash. Better performance? Who knows. Brooke Healy is also said to have bedded footballer Darren Bent and has dated Jermaine Pennant and Carlton Cole. Regarding Bent she said, "We made love so powerfully and the bed was so noisy. The headboard was going 20 to the dozen against the wall for about 40 minutes." "I've been through an emotional rollercoaster, but I'm determined to be strong. Ashley's a wonderful husband and we ARE in love. I won't let this woman destroy our marriage.Guess she's a lot more angry now. Hopefully the other girls can comfort her with some sound advice. Okay so plastic surgery isn't exactly uncommon nowadays but Cindy Jackson holds the world record of 47 lots of surgery (verified in the Guinness World Record Book  ). And as for Angela Bismarchi she's coming up fast on the rails as she's about to have her 42nd op.Angela Bismarchi, that's her photo on the right, is famous in Brazil and is heavily involved in the Rio Carnival where she will lead a samba team of 300 people. She is their Percussion Queen.  For 2008 she wants to look more Oriental so is having her eyes made to have more of a slant. This is because of the theme of her Rio team, Porto de Pedra, which is 100 years of Japanese immigration.Last year Angela was the talk of the Carnival when her only item of clothing fell off during the parade. Though very little is left to the imagination by many dancers nudity is officially banned. Fortunately (for her) she managed to pull on a spare thong. As for Cindy Jackson she has reportedly spent $100,000 on cosmetic surgery since 1988.  The New Miss America is Miss Michigan, Kirsten Haglund. She was crowned in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood resort. She became Miss Michigan back on June 16, 2007 in Muskegon, MI. Kirsten Haglund's home town is Farmington Hills, Michigan and she went to the Walled Lake Western High School before moving on to college at the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.  For once David Beckham isn't getting his share. A Chinese condom manufacturer is using his name to promote their brand of condoms - and without his permission. A Beckham spokesperson confirmed, "It's not an official brand." The company making the condoms claim in their advertising that men who use the contraceptive (which has become a top seller) 'will score in bed like David does on the pitch.' Only on the pitch?  Gemma Bissix is joining UK soap Eastenders to add some more glamour. It's actually re-joining because Gemma played Clare, Nigel's stepdaughter as a child actor. She's now 25 and all grown up plus Gemma had the experience of being in Hollyoaks in her role as Clare Cunningham. In the 2007 Soap Awards she won the Villain of the Year for this part - that's her with her trophy in the photo above. The photo below shows her in a glamour pose. About her Eastenders role she said, "It's a good move for me and something I didn't think would happen. I'm going back for nine months and then we are going to see what happens.
