Singin' In The Rain And Mint Royale Set To Be Number One
The big beat electronic act Mint Royale are in the UK charts thanks to George Sampson. He performed to their remix version of Singin' In The Rain when he won Britain's Got Talent. The single first entered the UK Singles Chart back in 2005 and went to numer 20. At that time it was popular because it was featured on a televison advertisement for Volkswagen Golf. Based on mid week sales it is expected that Singin' In The Rain will be the next number one. Mint Royale were formed by Neil Claxton and Chris Baker though Chris left the band in 2004. Neil continued making music using the name. They are from Manchester, England and are on the Faith & Hope label. Mint Royale posted a message on George Sampson's website, "We just wanted to say a huge congratulations to George Sampson for winning Britain's Got Talent." George said, "It's unbelievable - it's great to help out. The guys that made the mix messaged me on MySpace saying 'hi' so it's just incredible." Mint Royale music, including Singin' In The Rain, is available now at Amazon UK or Amazon USA. Labels: George Sampson, Mint Royale, Singin In The Rain |
