The Apprentice: Bye Bye Loopy Lucinda Ledgerwood
Sir Alan Sugar has made The Apprentice final an intriguing prospect after getting rid of just one contestant last night. We are therefore left with four for the final. Last night we saw the end of loopy Lucinda Ledgerwood. She was simply 'too zany' for Sir Alan. The wonder is as to how she lasted so long. So we are now left with good looking, but boring, Alex Wotherspoon, wideboy Lee McQueen, talkative Claire Young and the tactical Helene Speight for the final. Goodness knows who will win as they all have some qualities but lack in others. If Sugar really wants an 'apprentice' then perhaps Alex is the one who can be moulded and trained. The others probably come with certain preconceived ideas and conceptions of business. Whatever, it has been set up for an interesting final. As for Lucinda Ledgerwood, 'the absolute nutcase' as Karin Brady called her, she was already earning more than the £100,000 ($200,000) being offered. No need to shed any tears for her. Here's a few Lucinda gems: "I'm principled, honest, affable, passionate and quirky. I've studied Chinese medicine and aromatherapy, so I've got the softer skills and business side." "I do not abuse my position as a female. Flashing legs or wheedling up to someone, that's not even manipulative, that's dishonourable. Those techniques were employed by the two Jennifers and Helene," "I think it would be great fun to design my own clothing range." No, she defintely wasn't the woman for plain talking Alan Sugar. Mike, I think you're rather harsh on Lucinda! The other contestants did their best to trample her underfoot and cast her aside - but even they admitted that as team leader, she was a smasher.

I agree that that she definitely wasn't the woman for Sir Alan though...
